Saturday, March 11, 2006 / Columbus Music Hall / 734 Oak Street, Columbus

The GIVE — 10:00am
We will be the volunteer force to host a concert for families with young children — "PBJ Jazz for Kids and Families." We will help with concert setup, "the door" and preparation of the food.

The GIG — 11:00am
The jazz should be great: Bobby Floyd, Chad Eby, and Derek DiCenzo with special tunes featuring Becky Ogden as she focuses the young listeners on the music. Even the adults in the room will delight in learning more about jazz.

The GET — 12:00pm
We will Explore the Possibilities of the B3 ORGAN with Bobby Floyd. He will demonstrate the flexibility of the instrument and maybe share some secrets about the effects he uses.

Then, we'll take the time to plot the remainder of the school year and the role of the Teen Board. Come with ideas and flexible schedules!! You will also get information on how to bring a group of students from your school to upcoming CJO and CYJO concerts.

Wednesday, March 29, 2006 / Ohio Arts Day

The GIVE — All Day / Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts
Please meet Liz Smith at the reception table on the 3rd floor at 8:30am.

Volunteer for the Ohio Arts Council and the Ohio Citizens for the Arts as they launch their annual day of advocacy.

Participation in this event requires parental permission due to the need to miss a day of school. Download the required form and bring the signed copy to Judy Shafer the day of the event.

Be hands on and witness first hand as these organizations working to increase public support for the arts in Ohio.
